The
Honeyfest Committee sincerely appreciates the beautiful artwork created
especially for the Honeyfest by local artist, Barb Johnson. Barb
worked closely with the committee to develop a watercolor
representation of the important aspects of the festival. Vibrant
and colorful, containing the phrase that has become our slogan, the
depth of talent that Barb Johnson brings to the easel is remarkable.
In
an era of computerized imagery and graphic design, Barb Johnson,
watercolor artist and owner of Rockmill Road Gallery, has created
products that reflect a look of "days gone by." She is also
producing paintings that are inspired by God's nature around her.
She often paints in gardens around Fairfield County where she is
captivated by the beauty of flowers, plants, and herbs.
She says that nature's palette supplies endless subject
matter.
Her
love of nostalgia, antiques, and vintage subjects have influenced her
"still life" kitchen paintings which reflect a vibrant look into the
past. People have remarked that her style has a calmness and
peaceful look.
Barb
is co-owner of a landscape and garden tool manufacturing company and
has recently retired from her marketing and sales responsibilities to
follow her life-long dream of creating beautiful things.
Barb's line of original paintings, frameable prints, gift
packaged note cards are a coordinating blend.
Her
aprons and totes are ideal for kitchen and gardening. They
are a reflection of Barb's ability to take coordinating fabrics and her
signed fabric prints to become a central subject on these beautiful
hand made items.
